Master Bedroom Drywall
Something I wanted to do immediately when we moved in was to rip out and replace the baseboard trim throughout the house. It was the original trim from 1948 and was caked in so many layers of paint you could no longer see a defined edge between the trim and the wall. It was beyond a simple fresh coat of paint to liven it up…it had to go!
Unfortunately, when I started removing it from Master Bedroom, it had seen so many coats of paint over the years it was near impossible to remove it without damaging the drywall…
Bathroom Fan Installation
Contrary to popular belief, a bathroom fan is not just a “fart fan”. It’s main job is to control moisture and humidity and to prevent mold and mildew in what is typically the dampest room in any house. Now, I’m fairly certain that bathroom fan technology existed in 1948, but for whatever reason the builder elected not to install one. None of the previous homeowners saw fit to put one in either. For 66 years, this room was vented with a tiny 23″ x 13″ window opening.
